How to donate.

The Directors believe that the sport of sailing in WA would not be nearly as successful, and of such a superior standard without the foresight of the founders of the Ron Tough Yachting Foundation. Western Australia is fortunate to have a resource like RTYF that supports the development of our young sailors.

Western Australian sailors ‘bat well above our weight’ compared to the rest of Australia. RTYF not only offers financial assistance to support and encourage our sailors, but we also recognise and acknowledge the accomplishments these Western Australians achieve.

We have some incredibly talented athletes currently taking the sailing world by storm. And, as many of us know, we also need to encourage more young people to get involved in the sport of sailing and help them to progress to higher levels.  This builds a legacy and a stronger sailing community.

RTYF would like to achieve the goal of being able to pay out $150,000 in grants each year to support the future generations. To continue our work and get more people involved, RTYF needs your financial support because, together – we can achieve this goal.

We invite you and your fellow Yacht club members to put your hand in your wallet to donate to this Foundation. Contributions can be made through personal donation or via your club membership. Please help us to support the next generation of sailors.

As we know Sailing is a sport that has given a lifetime of enjoyment to a great many of us. The enjoyment comes from a mix of challenges, lessons learnt, great comradery, and building a deep love and respect for the water and the wind. We have the opportunity to share these experiences and help build a strong and thriving sailing community. With your donations we can achieve our combined goals.

Donations are tax deductable.

Yacht Club Donations.

RTYF has relied on the support of many Yacht Clubs in Western Australia. The amalgamation of contributions (large and small) from sailing Clubs makes a big difference to our sport and our young sailors. Please contact us here

Bequests.

If you share our vision that future generations should have the opportunity to build a love of sailing, then help us to make a lasting difference.

After providing for your family and friends, consider how you can help with a gift to RTYF in your Will.

Every person is different therefore gifts can take many forms.  They may be:

  • The residue, or a percentage, of an estate,
  • A specific amount of money,
  • Specific assets such as shares, property, or other items.

Consult your legal advisor, (a solicitor or trustee), to ensure your Will is written to achieve the outcomes you intend. The best way to help us is to leave your gift to The Ron Tough Yachting Foundation ‘for its general purposes’. This allows us to apply your funds where they are needed most, however, if you have a specific purpose in mind for your legacy then please contact us to discuss your thoughts.
